Behind the Lens

Here's a little about me.

-I started my photography adventure 3 years ago when I bought my first camera, but I've been shamelessly stealing my mom's camera since I first learned how to be sneaky (so basically my whole life). She even let me a couple of times. :)

-I have two little handsome stud muffins. Milo is 4 and he is AU-some (he has Autism) and he loves Toy Story and super heroes. Max is 2 years old and he is a chunky monkey, who ironically LOVES bananas. I can't get enough kisses in a day.

-I dream of opening my own bakery someday. My mom and I make cakes as a little side hobby/business (see our facebook page: Crumb-diddly-umptious Cakes) and we absolutely love it! We love the challenge of doing things we've never done before, but also the comfort that previous experience brings.

-Nothing brings me more joy than to see good people doing amazing things in the world, especially while rising from dark situations. I am fortunate enough to have plenty of strong people in my life that make me appreciate life and light so much more than I could on my own. The only thing better than being surrounded by greatness is capturing it in a photograph to breathe in forever.

-I tend to love photos of my boys with sticky faces and dirty clothes because they are more honest and closer to real life. If I had to choose one concept to model my photography around, it would be finding beauty in real life, something that can seem so ordinary sometimes.

-I believe there is beauty in every single person on this earth. I believe that because at my darkest and ugliest, my husband Mike saw beauty in me and he taught me to see it in others. The world is so much more beautiful because of people like him, encouraging us to open our eyes to what/who we have in our life all around us.

If you read all of that, thanks for taking the time to learn a little bit more about me and the girl behind the lens. I hope you like what you see and hope to work with you in the not-so-distant future. :)
